Part-Time/Seasonal (Fall Sports Season) Carolina Day School is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Head Middle School Boys Soccer Coach to join our athletics team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Athletics Department, support and enhance all aspects of the Middle School Boys Soccer program, with a focus on communication, player development, and program culture. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about soccer and values building meaningful relationships with student-athletes. The Head Coach will play a key role in shaping the daily execution and long-term vision of the program.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement practice plans that build technical, tactical, and physical skills appropriate for high school athletes. Lead and manage the team during practices, games, and tournaments, ensuring competitive performance and sportsmanship. Oversee player development, including assessing skills, setting individual goals, and promoting academic and athletic growth. Collaborate with the athletic department on scheduling games, events, and community outreach initiatives to promote the soccer program and enhance school spirit. Assist in identifying and recruiting prospective student-athletes, both within the school and through local youth programs, to sustain and grow team participation. Maintain communication with players, parents, and school staff regarding team updates, expectations, and academic eligibility. Promote a positive team culture, emphasizing leadership, discipline, accountability, and respect both on and off the field.
Qualifications:
Previous coaching experience or high-level playing experience at the high school or collegiate level required Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to connect with and motivate student-athletes Demonstrated ability to contribute to a team-oriented coaching staff High energy, positive attitude, and a growth mindset
