Cristo Rey Research Triangle High School (in person) Position Overview Cristo Rey Research Triangle High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Head Soccer Coach to lead both the boys soccer program in the fall and the girls soccer program in the spring. This position is an opportunity to build and sustain a competitive, mission aligned soccer program that develops student athletes both on and off the field. The ideal candidate is committed to fostering a culture of discipline, accountability, teamwork, and continuous growth while supporting student athletes in their academic and personal development. A critical responsibility of this role is safely transporting student athletes. The coach must be able and willing to drive a 14 passenger school bus for practices and games. Seasons Boys Soccer (Fall): August through October Girls Soccer (Spring): February through April Responsibilities Plan and lead structured, engaging practices that develop technical skills, tactical understanding, and physical fitness Coach and manage both boys and girls teams, including game strategy, lineups, substitutions, and in game adjustments Provide consistent feedback and mentorship to support student athlete growth in skill, confidence, and teamwork Build a positive, inclusive, and accountable team culture aligned with Cristo Rey's mission and expectations Drive a 14 passenger bus to transport student athletes safely to and from practices and games Maintain and organize uniforms, equipment, and program materials Communicate regularly with players, families, and school leadership regarding schedules, expectations, and team updates Monitor student athlete eligibility and promote strong academic habits Ensure compliance with school, conference, and safety guidelines Collaborate with the Athletic Director to support the overall athletics program Qualifications Valid driver's license (required) Ability and willingness to drive a 14 passenger bus (required) Clean driving record and successful background check (required) Prior coaching experience at the high school, club, or collegiate level preferred Strong knowledge of soccer fundamentals, tactics, and player development Ability to lead and motivate student athletes in a structured environment Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills CPR and AED certification or willingness to obtain Why This Role Matters This position plays a key role in shaping the student experience at Cristo Rey.
