Job Description

Carolina Syndicate Baseball is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant Coach for our 15U Scout travel baseball team for the upcoming fall season. This is a paid position working alongside an experienced coaching staff committed to developing players on and off the field. We are looking for a coach who values player development, accountability, and creating a competitive yet positive team culture. This position is ideal for former collegiate or high school players, current or former coaches, or individuals with significant baseball knowledge who are passionate about mentoring young athletes. Responsibilities Assist with planning and conducting team practices. Work with players on hitting, fielding, throwing, baserunning, and baseball fundamentals. Assist the Head Coach during games with defensive positioning, offensive strategy, and player management. Promote sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork, and accountability. Help evaluate player performance and provide constructive instruction. Maintain a positive learning environment for players and families. Communicate professionally with coaching staff, players, and parents. Assist with field setup, equipment, and general team operations. Travel to practices, tournaments, and scheduled team events throughout the fall season. Preferred Qualifications Previous baseball coaching experience at the travel, middle school, high school, or collegiate level preferred. Former high school, collegiate, or professional playing experience is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of baseball fundamentals, game strategy, and player development. Ability to effectively teach and communicate with teenage athletes. Reliable transportation and ability to attend practices and weekend tournaments. Strong leadership, professionalism, and organizational skills. Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check. Part-time, Seasonal Expected Hours:
Approximately 8-15 hours per week (depending on practice schedule and tournaments)
Work Location:
Practices and tournaments throughout the North Carolina Triad and surrounding areas.
