Job Overview Join our dynamic team as an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach and play a vital role in enhancing athletic performance, promoting health and wellness, and supporting our clients' fitness journeys. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals in a vibrant environment dedicated to physical excellence. You will assist in designing and implementing training programs, supervise training sessions, and contribute to a positive, motivating atmosphere that inspires clients of all ages and skill levels to reach their full potential. Duties Support the lead strength and conditioning coach in developing tailored training plans for individuals and teams across various sports and fitness levels. Assist during training sessions by demonstrating proper technique, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and providing encouragement to foster motivation. Help monitor clients' progress through assessments, record keeping, and feedback to optimize training outcomes. Supervise training facility activities, maintaining a safe environment by enforcing rules and managing behavior management strategies. Contribute to the setup and organization of equipment, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for each session. Communicate effectively with clients about their goals, progress, and safety procedures, including first aid and CPR when necessary. Support sports-specific training instruction such as soccer coaching, basketball drills, martial arts techniques like karate or judo, climbing activities, cheerleading routines, or swimming lessons. Skills Prior experience working with children or students in a sports or educational setting is highly desirable. Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage diverse groups of clients. Knowledge of coaching techniques across multiple sports including soccer, basketball, cheerleading, climbing, martial arts (judo, karate), or swimming. Certifications in first aid, CPR/AED operation are required; additional certifications in lifeguarding or sports coaching are a plus. Experience with behavior management strategies to support positive learning environments. Background in health club or gym environments with familiarity in gym equipment operation and safety standards. Ability to teach physical education concepts effectively while demonstrating excellent teamwork and leadership qualities. $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
