Job Description
Job Overview East Coast Volleyball Academy is the premier volleyball club on the East Coast of NC. We have sent over 80 athletes to play at the collegiate level. We expect our coaches to lead by example and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times on and off the court. We are seeking an experienced Volleyball Coach to join our team. As a Volleyball Coach, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring athletes of all skill levels in the fundamentals of volleyball. Your primary focus will be on developing the physical, technical, and mental abilities of our athletes to help them reach their full potential. We want coaches that are good people and good role models for young athletes. We will help guide you through the coaching process. Previous playing or coaching experience is required. This is a part time job. Involves coaching 2-3 nights per week and some weekends. Responsibilities
- Conduct training sessions, scrimmages, and practices to enhance player development and team cohesion.
- Provide individualized instruction and feedback to players, focusing on technique, strategy, and mental preparation.
- Create and maintain a positive and supportive team environment that encourages growth, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Monitor player progress and maintain accurate records of player performance and attendance.
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff members to ensure a cohesive and well-rounded team approach.
- Participate in recruitment and outreach efforts to attract new players and promote the program. Requirements
- Knowledge of volleyball techniques, strategies, and rules.
- Ability to manage and motivate a diverse group of players, including those with varying skill levels and personalities.
- Take criticism from administration and be on time.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with players, parents, and other team members.
- Experience with behavior management and conflict resolution is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and participate in tournaments and events as necessary.
