You must be a DSU student enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credits, during, or for a future fall/spring and/or summer semester(s).
You must be accepted into a DSU Graduate Program.
This position is conditional upon an acceptable background check.
Time Frame of Assistantship:
The successful graduate student can work up to two (2) academic years (i.e. beginning August 1, 2026 through May 31, 2028), with satisfactory performance in the graduate program and in the assistantship area. The successful graduate student should expect to work more than ten (10) but less than twenty (20) hours each week.
Compensation:
Tuition Waiver offered. Stipend of $5,000-$7,500/year Duties and/or
Responsibilities:
This position may:
Head Coach of JV program, administering coaching during both practice and games. Generally assist with varsity practice, games, and workouts as scheduled during week / weekend.
Assist in recruitment of student athletes by:
making phone calls to them;
answering emails to them:
hosting them on game day visits;
helping full-time coaches plan recruiting day visits
Assist with workouts and training of athlete, in and off-season.
Assist with DSU Volunteer work (via coordinating, organizing and as necessary supervising)
Assist with academic guidance to student athletes, including study tables
