Responsibilities include, but are not limited to coaching student-athletes, scouting and recruiting, monitoring student-athlete academic progress, competition management, camp coordination, compliance, scouting of opponents, and coordinating travel.
Hiring Range:
Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Pay is based on several factors, including budget, labor market, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and/or certification and other business considerations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree. Strong background in skill analysis and wrestling techniques. Demonstrated ability to successfully train athletes' individual skill development and motivate players to achieve maximum levels of performance. Thorough knowledge of and commitment to compliance with NCAA Division I rules and regulations. Commitment to the academic success of student-athletes. Evidence of ability to interact positively with student-athletes, parents, colleagues and the public. Evidence of strong organizational skills. Demonstration of effective oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated professional behavior.
Preferred Qualifications:
Evidence of successful experience coaching or competing collegiately with added knowledge in both Greco & Freestyle. Experience in conducting camps, clinics and tournaments. Evidence of recruiting experience along with connections to a strong wrestling community. Specialized knowledge and use of technology and video to enhance player development and team performance. Personal success at the NCAA or senior level wrestling championships. Diverse regional background and relationships.
