Job Description

The Swim Team Assistant Coach assists in the development of daily practice sessions including dry-land training, stretching, and swim training for all skill levels. Available to Gator Swim Team members and parents to answer questions concerning the program. Hours during the school year are afternoons and evenings, with weekends for meets; hours during the summer will add mornings as well. At least 18 years old 2 years of directly related experience American Red Cross CPR and First Aid Certification - Training available at the YMCA Within 1 month of hire: Foundations of Coaching 101 Concussion Education Certificate Athlete Protection Training Safety Training for Swim Coaches Certification Benefits All employees receive a free YMCA membership! Part-time employees begin accruing Sick Leave immediately upon hire and Paid Time Off (PTO) after one year of employment 12% Retirement Plan - The YMCA will automatically contribute an additional 12% of the eligible employee's monthly income into their YMCA Retirement Plan when the following requirements are met: The employee has been employed with the YMCA for 2 years The employee has worked 1,000 hours during each of any two 12-month periods The employee is 21 years of age or older
