As soon as possible (ideally by Summer 2026) The University of Jamestown is seeking a full-time Assistant Wrestling Coach to join our NCAA Division II program for the upcoming season. As a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC), UJ Wrestling is committed to competing at a high level while developing student-athletes on and off the mat. About the

We are proud members of the NCAA Division II and the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). Our Jimmies Athletics programs emphasize competitive excellence, character development, academic success, and Christian values. The Men's and Women's Wrestling program competes at the
NCAA DII
level and is a vital part of our athletic offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Coaches with planning and running practices, workouts, and competition strategies. Support team operations including travel planning, scheduling, and day-to-day program management. Contribute to all phases of recruiting, including identifying and evaluating prospects, conducting visits, and building relationships with recruits and their families. Mentor student-athletes in academic, athletic, and personal development. Uphold NCAA, NSIC, and institutional standards of conduct and compliance.
Required Qualifications :
Strong background in freestyle and/or Greco-Roman wrestling Collegiate wrestling experience, preferably with proven success at the NCAA level Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred Valid CDL or willingness to obtain one strongly preferred Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel regularly
Preferred Qualifications :
Passion for coaching and mentoring young athletes Experience in recruiting and retaining high-quality student athletes Understanding of
NCAA DII
rules and NSIC competition Team-first mentality and commitment to building a winning culture
