A Coach works with individual athletes or with sports teams to develop skills and improve teamwork and competitive performance. Runs practice sessions and physical conditioning programs; assesses the strengths and weaknesses of players; plans strategies for games; motivates and encourage players and teaches good sportsmanship.
Part-Time Benefits A stipend and tuition waiver in the amount of 18 credit hours is provided for the academic year. The tuition waiver can be applied to fall, spring, and summer I semesters. Offices hours during the week required. Duties as assigned. Graduate assistantships provide students a learning opportunity working alongside athletic department supervisor in a variety of experiences required in their career field. Graduate assistants are assigned to a supervisor and have specific job responsibilities delegated prior to the beginning of the experience. The selected experience should fit the GA's background and interests and contribute to the needs of the department. Foremost, the assistantship should be a learning experience that contributes to the student's growth as a professional in or outside of higher education. Minimum Requirements The successful candidate must be accepted into the Minot State University Graduate School and pass a background check. Bachelor's Degree required.
