Assistant Athletic Coach - Men's Baseball Creighton University - 4.0 Omaha, NE Job Details Full-time 13 hours ago Qualifications Bachelor's degree Full Job Description The Assistant Baseball Coach will be tasked with assisting the Head Coach in all aspects of the program including planning and organizing in-game competitive strategy, practice and workouts, recruiting, and other areas designed to effectively prepare student-athletes to excel in competition. At all times employees are expected to uphold Creighton's core values and demonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment, while adhering to all University Ethical Standards of Conduct, rules, regulations, and job requirements, including required educational trainings. Assist with planning and organizing practice and workouts and competitive game plans designed to properly prepare student-athletes to excel in Division I and Big East conference competition. Recruiting high-caliber student-athletes that can excel athletically and academically. Collaborating with the sports performance and mental health staffs to ensure the physical, mental and emotional health of student-athletes. Assist with budget and non-budget baseball operations. Assisting with fundraising and alumni engagement efforts. Assist with leadership of managers, student workers, volunteers and graduate assistants. Ensuring proper compliance with institutional, conference and NCAA rules and regulations.
Qualifications:
Bachelors' Degree in related area. 3-5 year's related experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of a specific sport's concepts/strategies and NCAA rules and regulations. Knowledge of physical conditioning techniques and weight training. Knowledge of basic statistics. Recruiting skills. Verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal/human relations skills. Organizational/planning skills. Leadership and motivational skills.
