The Creighton University Athletic Department is now accepting applications for the position of Assistant Softball Coach. Creighton is a Catholic and Jesuit university committed to excellence in its selected undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs. Conference.
Summary:
The Assistant Softball Coach will be tasked with assisting the Head Coach in all aspects of the program including, but not limited to, recruiting, player development, scheduling, operations, travel, hiring, and budget management. Specific responsibilities of this position include: Planning and organizing practice and workouts designed to properly prepare student-athletes to excel in competition Recruiting Film breakdown and analysis Collaborating with the Sports Performance staff to ensure the development of effective condition and weight training programs Monitoring the mental and physical health of student-athletes under the guidance of the athletic training staff Fostering an environment that develops the whole person Assisting with fundraising and alumni engagement efforts when needed Ensuring proper compliance with institutional, conference, and NCAA rules. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree required 2+ years of coaching experience Provent track record of player development Strong motivation and leadership skills Excellent interpersonal communication skills Established work ethic and willingness to learn Preferred Qualifications Coaching experience at a Division I institution Master's degree or advanced education Creighton University is committed to providing a safe and non-discriminatory educational and employment environment.
