Boys Tennis Head Coach ~ Westside High SchoolDescription:
This position is for boys tennis, and will start in the Fall 2026. The head coach will be responsible for overseeing the tennis program. Knowledge in teaching tennis fundamentals and skills as well as game and team strategies. Knowledge of tennis rules and hosting tennis invites are also required. Promote participation, self-confidence, building positive relationships with athletes, students, coaches & staff members, strong work ethic, and good sportsmanship in each student/assistant coach involved.Supervisor:
This position reports directly to the Athletic Director.Education and Experience:
High school diploma, college degree or equivalent. Ability to work effectively with sport coaching staff, parents, and school staff High school coaching and teaching experience is preferred. Knowledge of NSAA rules and regulationsJob Responsibilities:
Complies with department / district policies. Maintains consistent communication with Athletic Director Develop positive self image with athletics Utilize sound teaching methods to develop skills / techniques. Demonstrate public support / loyalty for coaches. Demonstrate positive team sportsmanship toward opponents and officials. Demonstrates effective management of pre-contest details. Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.Other Skills and Abilities:
Work with parents and children of diverse cultural backgrounds. Develop effective working relationships with students, staff, and the school community. Perform duties with awareness of all District requirements and Board of Education policies.Application Procedure:
