The NH Sportsplex Traveling Lil Athletes Coach works in conjunction with the Program Managers and Executive Directors to help coordinate and deliver high quality classes across participating facilities.TRAVELING LIL ATHLETES PROGRAM GOALS
The goal of the Lil Athletes Travelling Program is to help participants- Develop Motor Skills
- Improve coordination and balance
- Learn teamwork and communication
- Build self confidence
- Develop a positive relationship with sports and physical activity
COACH JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Traveling Lil Athletes Coach is responsible for leading and coaching youth athletic classes at participating locations. This role involves creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment where young athletes can develop fundamental sports skills, confidence, teamwork, and a love for physical activity. The coach will oversee multiple aspects of each class, including leading skills and drills, providing one-on-one instruction, facilitating group activities and discussions, and adapting lessons to meet the needs of varying skill levels and learning styles. The ideal candidate is energetic, enthusiastic, and motivational, with a basic understanding of the sport being taught and a genuine passion for working with children. Coaches are expected to serve as positive role models, maintain a well-organized and safe class environment, arrive prepared for each session, and communicate professionally with school staff, parents, and fellow team members.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Applicant must be able to be physically active, be able to carry items of up to 25 lbs. and work 2-6 hour shifts. Traveling Lil Athletes classes are scheduled on weekdays.REQUIRED SKILLS
- Must be 18+, with valid driver's license
- Experience preferred
- Driven and dependable team player
- Ability to maintain a fun and positive attitude
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work in a fast paced, childcare focused environment
- Have a reliable mode of transportation
