Job Description

POSITION

Middle School Boys Basketball Coach

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous coaching experience at the middle school level preferred. Experience working with teenagers preferred. Knowledge of the fundamentals, rules, techniques, and strategies of the sport. Ability to teach and develop age-appropriate athletic skills.

: Athletic Coordinator /

Building Principal SEASON:

November - February

SCHEDULE

Weekdays/Weekends, Practices/Games Per Week

• Subject to change

POSITION OVERVIEW

: The coach will be responsible for team activities including all scheduled practices and games, and adhere to district policies, rules, and objectives. The coach will lead by example among the team and players. Focus will be on personal development, skill development, safety, fair play, sportsmanship, and work to establish and improve the team and program.

RESPONSIBILITIES DEPENDING ON COACHING ASSIGNMENT, MAY INCLUDE

: Candidates should be dependable, detail-oriented, willing to work within a coaching staff atmosphere Have the ability to travel with the team to and from away games Provide appropriate supervision throughout team travel and athletic events Meet or be willing to complete all Conway School District and Kennett Middle School requirements.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

There are no benefits associated with this position. Stipend amount is determined by Appendix D of the CEA Agreement.
