Job Description
Job Description Summary The Head Women's Flag Football Coach is responsible for developing, organizing, and leading all aspects of the Women's Flag Football program. This position includes recruiting student-athletes, implementing training programs, and fostering an environment of academic and athletic excellence. This job requires the coach to carry a minimum of 20 flag football only student-athletes on the team. Job Description
DUTIES AND TASKS
Develop and oversee all aspects of the Women's Flag Football program, including: Recruiting and evaluating prospective student-athletes Designing and implementing training programs and practice sessions Developing game strategies and play execution Monitoring student-athlete academic progress and personal development Creating a positive and structured environment for student-athletes Administrative responsibilities include: Assisting in managing program budget, equipment, and travel logistics Scheduling competitions and coordinating team-related activities Collaborating with athletic department staff for program development Engage in promotional and public relations efforts to build program visibility, including: Assisting with fundraising initiatives to support the program Representing the Department of Athletics at university and community events Encouraging community service involvement among student-athletes Promote the University's core values and build effective partnerships within the campus community Ensure clear communication and engagement with internal and external stakeholders Foster an inclusive and welcoming environment for student-athletes, staff, and the university community Perform other related duties as assignedREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Strong understanding of coaching techniques and strategies for flag football Ability to recruit, develop, and motivate student-athletes Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Ability to create game plans and implement competitive strategies Sound judgment and decision making Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities independently Professional discretion in handling sensitive situations Ability to identify problems and implement practical solutions Strong situational awareness and organizational skills Ability to follow established procedures while adapting to changing circumstances Demonstrated accountability and initiative Effective communication and interpersonal judgment Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Critical thinking and problem solving skills Proficiency in computer programs used for coaching, recruiting, and analysis Valid Driver's LicenseEDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree preferred Collegiate, high school, or club coaching experience preferred Proven ability to mentor and develop student-athletesROSTER SIZE REQUIREMENTS & STAFFING PROGRESSION
The head coach is required to keep a min. of 20 student-athletes on the teamPhysical Demands:
Ability to demonstrate proper flag football techniques and training Set up and move equipment for practices and competitions Lift up to 10 pounds as necessary for team-related activitiesNOTICE:
