You will report to the Head Coach for Men's Soccer and be in charge coaching tasks and student athlete development. In this
Role You'll Get To:
Be a role model that provides guidance necessary for a positive, competitive environment for student-athletes Participate in the planning, strategy, organizing and execution of preseason, season, off season practices. Help monitor conditioning programs. Provide us with input as to the evaluation of the athlete's performance and progress. Ensure the best performance of athletes during games. Aid in the strategic planning for individual player development. Evaluate opponents' performance and scouting. Develop relationships with multiple partners including students, parents, faculty, department and college staff, alumni, fans, and community members. Help us recruit prospective student athletes includes phone calls, texts, emails, off-campus evaluations. Understand what SNHU has to offer and being able to sell the university and program to prospective student-athletes Participate in planning for events including fund raising or other special functions Manage social media accounts while understanding on how to market the program Provide input and help plan and administer the budget for the men's soccer program which includes assessing needs for equipment, team travel, and recruiting. Demonstrate a sincere interest in the academic, personal, and physical welfare of each student-athlete; counsel team members and consults with the head coach and appropriate staff for resolving issues. Help us track Student Athlete Academic Progress Monitor Graduating Seniors to ensure their credit path secures degree Monitor student athlete retention numbers and represent the athletic department at Campus Retention meetings/persistence/graduation rate discussions Assist compliance coordinator by meeting with at risk student athletes, review grade reports, and assist with academic eligibility Be a student-athlete liaison for campus services that they may need (Wellness/Counseling/Tutoring/Advising) Help with SAAC and help coordinate make a wish fundraiser Be committed to all rules and regulations of the College, NE-IO, and NCAA Other responsibilities as assigned by the Head Coach and Director of Athletics. Looking For:
Bachelor's Degree 3+ years of playing or coaching experience at the collegiate, club circuit, State OPD, or high school level in soccer. Goalkeeper Coach experience is preferred Hold a valid driver's license and be eligible to be insured by the university's auto insurance carrier to drive on campus when needed. The position, governed by the rules and regulations of the NCAA and of the Southern New Hampshire University, requires working with the Head Coach in all facets of the program. You must develop a working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. You must pass the NCAA Certification exam. Per NCAA rule, a coach who is found in violation of NCAA regulations shall be subject to disciplinary or corrective action as set forth in the provisions of the NCAA enforcement procedures, including suspension without pay or termination of employment for repetitive violations. #LI-Onsite We believe real innovation comes from inclusion
