Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Youth Sports Coach and inspire young athletes to develop their skills, teamwork, and confidence through engaging sports activities! This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work with children ages 2-5 years old in a vibrant, energetic environment. As a Youth Sports Coach, you will lead sports sessions, foster positive behavior, and promote healthy physical activity while creating a fun and inclusive atmosphere for all participants. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help nurture the next generation of athletes and lifelong sports enthusiasts. Responsibilities Plan and execute age-appropriate sports drills, games, and activities across various sports such as basketball, soccer, flag football, and physical education classes. Teach fundamental skills while emphasizing teamwork, sportsmanship, and safety protocols to ensure a positive experience for all children. Manage group behavior effectively through proactive behavior management techniques to maintain an engaging and respectful environment. Monitor participants' progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt coaching methods to meet individual needs. Ensure the safety of all participants by adhering to health guidelines, supervising activities closely, and maintaining equipment in good condition. Collaborate with parents, guardians, and fellow staff members to support each child's development and address any concerns promptly. Maintain accurate attendance records and report on participant progress or incidents as required. Qualifications Prior experience in sports coaching or teaching physical education is highly desirable. Experience working with children or in childcare settings demonstrates your ability to manage young participants effectively. Strong communication skills combined with a passion for teaching sports.
