Athletic Director and High School Principal Job Purpose:
Assist the head coach in teaching student-athletes in the athletic and sportsmanship skills necessary to be successful in playing and competing in the sport of soccer.
Qualifications-Required:
NJDOE Certified staff or active County Substitute Teacher Certification Experience as a soccer coach Demonstrated skills and knowledge to organize a team schedule Demonstrated skills that develop appropriate team strategies for the sport Familiar with
N.J.S.I.A.A.
rules and regulations Willingness to attend workshops conferences, etc., as directed by the administration Ability to behave as a professional at all times Ability to motivate student-athletes and maintain appropriate behavior at all times Ability to coach the entire season Able to pass the required Criminal History Review Able to pass the Sexual Abuse/Misconduct Process Able to pass
Pre-Employment Physical Exam Qualifications-Desired:
EHT Staff 2-3 years experience as a coach 2-3 years competing in the sport on a college level Experience coaching high school
Duties/Responsibilities:
Motivates athletes to compete Organizes and schedules practices Implements coaching and game strategies for successful outcomes Monitors athletes performance in academics and attendance Serves as a role model for the team
Working Conditions:
Outside Inclement weather, at times Away Games School Bus Stipend of $5,557 as per EHTEA contract
Physical Requirements:
Able to stand for long periods of time Able to work beyond the normal work day Able to run and/or exercise with athletes, when necessary Able to demonstrate required physical moves of the sport Able to work outdoors in inclement weather
