Tuesday - Friday, ~9:45-1:15 Session 1: July 9-12 Session 2: July 16-19
OFF:
July 23-26 Session 3: July 29 - August 2 Session 4: August 6-9 Please note that exact working days/times will flex depending on sign-ups, and the final schedule will be shared ahead of time. Plan to show up 15 minutes before the first class to set up and 15 minutes after to clean up.
Job Purpose:
The Swim Instructor will be responsible for teaching swimming techniques and water safety to students aging 6 months - 12 years old. The ideal candidate will have a love for swimming, a desire to help others learn and improve their skills, and a passion for helping people to gain confidence in our lake. What are we looking for?
Minimum Requirements:
16 years of age or older CPR certified Strong swimmer Ability to work with and teach ages 6 month- 12 years old Meet the physical requirements of the role
Physical Requirements:
Proven strong swimmer Ability to swim, stand and walk the duration of a scheduled shift Ability to lift and/or push up to 50 LBS Continuous repetitive motions Ability to read, write, speak and understand English What are the Key Responsibilities? Follow swim lesson plans compiled by LHYC Instruct students on proper swimming techniques and water safety Provide feedback and encouragement to students to help them improve their swim and water skills Ensure a safe and clean environment for all students Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress Any additional ad hoc tasks
