You'll lead fun, age-appropriate classes at preschools and childcare centers throughout North and Central New Jersey. This is an on-the-road position serving multiple locations in Westfield, Kenilworth, Basking Ridge, Morristown, Cedar Knolls, and surrounding areas. Applicants must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and be comfortable traveling between assigned locations. Paid training will begin in mid-August on select weekday mornings between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. From September through June, this position primarily covers afternoon classes scheduled Monday through Friday between 1:00 and 4:30 p.m. Exact class times vary by day, and applicants must be consistently available throughout this timeframe. Additional morning classes may also become available during the school year for candidates interested in working more hours. Coaches who wish to continue working during the summer will have the opportunity to transition to our morning summer camp program during July and August. What We Offer $25-$30 per hour , based on experience Paid training beginning in mid-August Consistent weekly schedule No evenings or weekends Curriculum, lesson plans, uniforms, and equipment provided Opportunity for additional school-year hours as they become available Opportunity to coach summer camps during July and August Opportunities to grow with the program Schedule Part-time position with a consistent school-year schedule and optional summer opportunities Paid training begins in mid-August August training takes place on select weekday mornings between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. September through June afternoon availability required Monday through Friday, 1:00-4:30 p.m. July and August summer camp schedule takes place Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Approximately 5-10 scheduled hours per week to start during the school year Additional morning hours may be available No evening or weekend hours Responsibilities Lead engaging sports and fitness classes primarily for children ages 2.5 to 6, with occasional classes for toddlers ages 18 months to 2.5 years. Follow the Amazing Athletes curriculum and weekly lesson plans Arrive on time to set up equipment before each class Create a positive, encouraging, and age-appropriate environment Communicate professionally with school directors, teachers, and the Amazing Athletes management team Take attendance and maintain accurate class records Safely transport and properly care for sports equipment Travel between assigned schools, childcare centers, and summer camp locations Qualifications Must be able to commit to the required school-year afternoon schedule and paid training schedule. Summer camp opportunities are available for coaches interested in working during July and August. Energetic, outgoing, patient, and comfortable working with young children Strong communication and classroom-management skills Dependable transportation and a valid driver's license Willing and able to travel between assigned locations Able to lift, carry, and transport sports equipment Previous experience working with children, coaching, teaching, childcare, recreation, camp programs, or athletics is preferred Must be able to complete all required background checks This position is ideal for substitute teachers, retired educators, preschool teachers, childcare professionals, paraprofessionals, youth sports coaches, stay-at-home parents returning to work, athletes, and college students with consistent weekday afternoon availability.
