Recreational Gymnastics Coach
Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a fun, energetic, and passionate Gymnastics Coach to join our team at ERG. The ideal candidate will have a background in gymnastics or cheerleading and experience working with students of various ages and skill levels. This role involves teaching gymnastics techniques, promoting physical fitness, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all participants. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging gymnastics lesson plans tailored to the skill levels of students. Instruct students in various gymnastics skills, including tumbling, balance beam, bars, and vaulting. Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance performance. Ensure the safety of all participants by maintaining a clean and organized training area. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages teamwork, discipline, and respect among students. Collaborate with other coaches and staff to organize events, competitions, and showcases. Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and any concerns that may arise. Skills Experience in sports coaching or teaching, particularly in gymnastics or related fields such as cheerleading or martial arts. Background in lifeguarding or swimming is a plus. Strong understanding of behavior management techniques to effectively guide students. Ability to work well with children and young adults, demonstrating patience and enthusiasm. Knowledge of physical education principles and practices is beneficial. Experience in other sports such as basketball, climbing, judo, or karate is an asset. Excellent communication skills to engage with students, parents, and fellow staff members effectively.
