Assistant Coach Required Qualifications:
- Current New Mexico coaching license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior coaching experience in a successful program (of the same sport)

NONE Position Purpose:
Provide students with a successful and rewarding athletic experience that fosters leadership, self-discipline and encourages the highest standards of conduct, academic and athletic achievement.Essential Job Functions:
- Demonstrate professional knowledge of game rules and strategies
- Demonstrate effective methodology in teaching basic skills and position play
- Demonstrate ability to organize assistant coaches and other team personnel for optimum effectiveness during practices and games/matches/competitions
- Demonstrate knowledge of and compliance with school and NMAA policies, procedures, requirements and regulations of the school athletic program
- Demonstrate the highest standards of ethical conduct, decorum and sportsmanship at all times
- Demonstrate ability to motivate students to achieve in academics AND athletics
- Demonstrate professional knowledge and skill using the safe practice of weight training activities, basic first aid procedures (including CPR)
- Demonstrate ability to establish and maintain positive and effective communication and interpersonal relationships with assistant coaches, students, staff, administration, parents, community and media
- Demonstrate effective supervisory skills and procedures to ensure a safe environment for student participants.
- Demonstrate accountability for care of facilities, keys, uniforms, equipment and supplies
- Demonstrate ability to maintain accurate inventories, manage team finances and prepare and submit reports, requisitions and other required information in compliance with established school procedures and timelines
- Demonstrate interest in self-improvement by engaging in on-going professional growth activities
- Demonstrates the ability to create a program with a long-term vision and create a team cultute of inclusivity
