Girls High School Assistant Varsity Outdoor Track and Field Coach

Part-time seasonal (March-June) opening for an Outdoor Track and Field Assistant Coach at Academy of the Holy Names (Albany, NY), the Capital Region's only all-girls, private, Catholic, college-preparatory school for grades 6-12. Candidates must have experience coaching or participating in running sports.

Key Responsibilities :

In this role, you'll work alongside the Head Coach and assist in the following duties: Teach and develop fundamental running skills including motions and technique Develop and implement an appropriate cardiovascular aerobic conditioning regimen which is differentiated between sprinters, mid-distance, and distance athletes as well as field athletes. Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all athletes Emphasize teamwork, sportsmanship, and confidence-building Plan and lead organized, productive practices Ensure athlete safety at all times and follow all school guidelines Ensure athlete safety at all times and follow all League, Section, and

guidelines Communicate effectively with athletes, families, and school staff Conduct correct entries to meets and competitions Attend all practices and all competitions Work with the Athletic Director on the issues of transportation, entries, compliance, and regulations. Athletic Director Qualifications :
