The successful candidate will need to: Ability to communicate using tact, courtesy, sensitivity, and confidentiality; Demonstrate a visible commitment to student athletes, community, and instructional leadership while promoting positive character; Demonstrate a strong commitment to the development of the student athlete physically, mentally, and as a leader; Have innovative ideas in and out of season for staff development, strength training, and fundraising; Demonstrate the ability to maintain professional relationships to work cooperatively and collaboratively with other coaches, students, teachers, parents, and administrators; Demonstrate high energy and enthusiasm; Demonstrate the ability to make decisions in the best interest of students; Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of making each student feel valued; Be an ambassador for the athletic program; The successful candidate should have a clear understanding of what education-based athletics is about and the life skills that can be taught through Athletics.
