Strength & Conditioning Coach | Full-Time Career Opportunity Victory Sports Performance | Greenlawn, NY Victory Sports Performance is looking for an experienced, highly motivated Strength & Conditioning Coach who wants to build a career in performance coaching. This is not simply a job where you show up, run athletes through workouts, and go home. We are looking for a coach who wants to develop their craft, work alongside other high-level coaches, train serious athletes, and become an important part of a growing performance facility.
WHO WE ARE
Victory Sports Performance has been developing athletes on Long Island since 2018. What started as a small training operation has grown into an 11,000-square-foot performance facility built specifically for athlete development. Our facility features a 40-yard turf area, 10 squat racks, dedicated strength and speed training areas, recovery equipment, and high-quality performance equipment throughout. We work with athletes ranging from youth development through high school, collegiate, and advanced competitive levels.
Our goal is simple:
help athletes prepare for the next level. But what makes VSP different isn't just our facility or the athletes we train. It's our coaching staff. We have built a team of coaches who care about getting better. Our coaches challenge each other, share ideas, discuss programming, continue their education, and hold one another to a high standard. We want someone who wants to be part of that environment.
THE COACH WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a coach who understands that great strength and conditioning goes far beyond writing workouts. You should be able to assess movement, identify an athlete's needs, develop an appropriate training plan, coach movement effectively, and make adjustments based on what you see. You should have a strong understanding of: Strength and power development Linear speed development Acceleration and max-velocity mechanics Change of direction Plyometric training Movement assessment Exercise selection and progression Long-term athletic development Program design Just as importantly, you need to be able to coach a room. We want someone who can communicate, create energy, build relationships, command the attention of athletes, and get people to buy into the training process.
OUR COACHING PHILOSOPHY
We don't want robots. Our staff shares a common philosophy and looks at athlete development through a similar lens, but our coaches are encouraged to think, problem-solve, contribute ideas, and develop their own coaching style. We want coaches who ask questions. We want coaches who challenge ideas. We want coaches who can explain the "why" behind what they do. And we want coaches who are constantly trying to become better at their craft.
THIS IS A CAREER OPPORTUNITY
We are especially interested in someone who wants to make strength and conditioning their career , not simply their next job. As Victory Sports Performance continues to grow, we want our coaches to grow with us. Our goal is to create a clear path for talented coaches to progress within VSP. If you perform at a high level, take ownership, and help make our athletes and organization better, we want there to be a next step for you here.
