Job Description Boys Modified Swimming Core Responsibilities Athletic Instruction & Strategy:

Plan and lead daily practice sessions focused on skill development and physical conditioning.

Develop game strategies, playbooks, and lineups tailored to the team's strengths.

Direct and motivate athletes during competitions, making real-time tactical adjustments.

Student Mentorship & Safety:

Monitor the academic performance of athletes to ensure eligibility requirements are met.

Enforce a firm but productive discipline framework and the school's code of conduct.

Provide constant supervision at practices, games, and during team travel.

Administer first aid or CPR in the event of an injury and follow established safety protocols.

Administrative & Logistics:

Manage team rosters, equipment inventory, and uniform distribution/collection.

Coordinate with the Athletic Director on game scheduling, transportation, and budgeting.

Maintain regular communication with parents and school staff. Job Qualifications

Certifications:

Valid NYS coaching certification Mandatory CPR and First Aid certification.

Completion of concussion awareness training.

Experience:

Previous coaching or competitive playing experience in the specific sport is typically required.

Soft Skills:

Strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to remain composed under pressure.
