Job Description
Overview Join our vibrant team as a Swim Instructor and inspire confidence, safety, and a love for water in learners of all ages! In this dynamic role, you will deliver engaging swimming lessons that promote skill development, water safety awareness, and physical fitness. Your energetic approach will motivate students to achieve their swimming goals while ensuring a safe and positive environment. Responsibilities Lead engaging and structured swimming lessons tailored to various skill levels, from beginners to advanced swimmers Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing water safety rules and supervising activities at all times Provide clear instruction on swimming techniques, breathing methods, and water safety practices Communicate effectively with students and parents about progress, goals, and safety protocols Maintain a clean, organized pool area and ensure all equipment is in good working order Respond promptly to emergencies using CPR, First Aid, AED operation, or other safety procedures as needed Foster a positive environment that encourages teamwork, confidence-building, and enjoyment of water activities Requirements Prior experience as a Lifeguard or in water safety supervision is highly preferred WSI certification preferred Demonstrated swimming ability with strong proficiency in various strokes and techniques Experience working with children or in youth sports coaching environments Knowledge of sports-specific training instruction such as soccer coaching or martial arts is a plus Certification in First Aid, CPR, AED operation, and water safety standards required; ongoing training provided if needed Background in sports coaching or physical education teaching is advantageous Excellent communication skills to effectively connect with students, parents, and team members Ability to manage behavior positively while maintaining a fun and disciplined learning environment Physical fitness to perform swimming demonstrations and supervise active water sessions Embark on a fulfilling journey where your enthusiasm for sports and teaching meets the joy of helping others succeed in the water.
