We're looking for experienced tennis and/or pickleball coaches across New York City to join our growing roster of independent instructors. This is a 1099 contractor role with complete schedule flexibility. You set your own availability, work with clients in your local area, and coach on your own terms, no fixed hours, no commute to a facility, no commitment beyond the sessions you accept. Compensation $65 per 1-hour tennis lesson $50 per 1-hour pickleball lesson Permanent rate boosts available for high-performing coaches Responsibilities Deliver private lessons tailored to each client's skill level and goals Provide clear instruction on technique, footwork, stroke mechanics, strategy, and match play Travel to local HOA, community, or public courts within your area of NYC Conduct quick pre-lesson court safety checks Submit brief post-lesson client assessments through our coach portal (used for both player development tracking and payout processing) Communicate professionally with clients about scheduling and progress What We're Looking For Proven experience as a tennis and/or pickleball coach, or strong playing background (NTRP 4.0+ for tennis, DUPR 3.5+ for pickleball) Comfortable working with players across all levels, from absolute beginners to advanced Reliable transportation to local courts Strong communication skills and a professional, encouraging coaching style Experience with youth or adult beginners is a plus Why Coaches Choose Golden Racket Academy Set your own schedule, accept the sessions that work for you Work in your local area, no long commutes We handle client acquisition, payment processing, and admin Direct client relationships, you coach, we run the business side Real growth potential as we expand in NYC and nationally Apply now and start coaching on your own terms.
