Job Description
St. Thomas Aquinas College invites applications for the position of Head Coach, eSports. The Head Coach is responsible for the overall administration, supervision, and management of the College's intercollegiate eSports program. This position will provide leadership to student-athletes, oversee multiple teams within the eSports program, support recruitment and academic success, and promote a positive and competitive program that reflects the values and mission of St. Thomas Aquinas College. Responsibilities Oversee the overall administration, development, and day-to-day operations of the College's eSports program. Coach and provide leadership to multiple eSports teams, including planning practices, competitions, and team activities. Recruit prospective student-athletes and support the academic, athletic, and personal success of current team members. Foster a positive team culture focused on sportsmanship, communication, accountability, respect, and teamwork. Manage program operations, including rosters, scheduling, statistics, facilities, tournaments, travel, and other administrative responsibilities. Supervise assistant coaches and collaborate with the Director of Athletics regarding program needs and budget planning. Promote the eSports program and work collaboratively with departments across the College. Represent the College at applicable conference, organizational, alumni, and media activities and perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience playing and/or coaching eSports. Strong communication, interpersonal, and public relations skills. Ability to foster a positive, enthusiastic, and team-oriented environment. Ability to work effectively with a diverse population of students, faculty, and staff. Valid driver's license and eligibility to operate College vehicles. Previous athletic recruitment experience preferred. Fundraising and budget management experience preferred.
