Job Description

Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Age Group Developmental Swimming Coach to lead weekday afternoon practices. The coach will be responsible for creating positive, structured, and encouraging training environment while helping athletes develop proper swimming technique, confidence, endurance, and a strong foundation for competitive swimming. Duties Lead daily swim practices Monday - Friday from 5pm-6:30pm. Plan and deliver age-appropriate workouts focused on stroke technique, starts, turns, endurance, and overall swimming development. Provide individualized instruction and constructive feedback to swimmers. Develop swimmers' confidence, discipline, teamwork, and enjoyment of the sport Maintain a safe, organized, and positive pool environment Monitor swimmer progress, and communicate development areas with athletes, and when appropriate, parents/guardians. Adapt workouts to accommodate different ability levels and developmental behavior. Reinforce team expectations, sportsmanship, attendance, and positive behavior. Work collaboratively with other coaches and program leadership to support the overall development of the team. Requirements Previous experience coaching or teaching youth swimming Strong understanding of competitive swimming fundamentals and stroke technique Ability to work effectively with children and young athletes of varying skill levels Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills Reliable and punctual with positive, energetic attitude Current CPR/AED or lifeguard certification preferred Competitive swimming or coaching experience is preferred USA Swimming certification required. Can be completed after hiring. The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is passionate about helping young swimmers improve and enjoys creating fun, challenging, and supportive team environment. They should be patient, dependable, enthusiastic, and committed to long-term athlete development.
Pay:
$14.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 20.0 per week
