Assistant Coach-Swim/Dive (72856) Hot Job Main Campus - North Canton, OH 44720 Apply Overview Position Type Staff (Part-Time) Apply Description Position Summary To assist the Head Coach in all facets of the program with emphasis on teaching and mentoring team member's relative to sport specific skills, NCAA II rules and regulations, individual and team development concepts as well as life skills education. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Head Coach. This is a part-time position, Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Assists the head coach in managing and directing the program. Assists the head coach with all aspects of the program including practices, player instruction, game preparation, competing and scheduling. Assists in the coordination of travel arrangements. Assists in completion and processing of paperwork as requested. Assists with recruiting, including contacting prospective student-athletes, evaluating high school and junior college players, and maintaining accurate records and databases on the NCAA Compliance Assistant program. Works cooperatively with personnel in the athletic department, attends department meetings and activities, and always represents the University in a positive manner when interacting with the community, alumni, coaches, the media and the general public. Responsible for knowing, understanding, and abiding by Walsh University policy and procedure and NCAA II compliance legislation and conference rules. Failure to comply by Walsh University policy and procedure and NCAA II compliance legislation and conference rules will be grounds for discipline and/or termination. Performs other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and the Vice President for Athletics/Athletic Director.
