Private Tennis Instructor (Upper Arlington Part-Time ) Confidential Upper Arlington, OH 43221 $700

  • Temporary, Part-time, Seasonal We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Tennis Coach to provide personalized lessons for an eight-year-old boy who has already received foundational tennis training.
The ideal candidate will foster a fun, positive, and engaging environment while continuing to develop the player's technical skills, confidence, and love for the game.
Schedule & Duration:
3 sessions per week
Location:
Primarily at The Players' Club (with possible alternate sites listed below)
Commitment:
Through Spring 2026 , and beyond if available. Potential Coaching Locations (based on season and weather): Northam Tennis Courts Swim & Racquet Club Jones Middle School Upper Arlington High School The Players' Club Responsibilities Design and conduct tailored tennis lessons that balance fun, skill development, and competition. Assess abilities to identify strengths and areas for improvement. Create individualized training plans suited to the player's age, goals, and skill level. Use creative and age-appropriate teaching methods to reinforce tennis fundamentals, techniques, and strategy. Adapt coaching approaches to match learning style and pace. Maintain a safe, encouraging, and sportsmanlike environment. Schedule consistent lessons and provide regular progress feedback to the family. Support and attend tennis matches, competitions, or tournaments as needed. Requirements Proven experience as a tennis coach or instructor, preferably with youth players. Strong knowledge of tennis techniques, rules, and coaching principles. Professional certification or registration preferred (e.g., USPTA, USTA, OTPA, GPTCA , or similar). Excellent communication, motivational, and organizational skills. Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor. A genuine passion for tennis and for inspiring young athletes.
