Yesterday Job Description Milton-Union High School Assistant Coach / Defensive Coordinator - Varsity Football Milton-Union High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Coach / Defensive Coordinator to join our football program. This position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated coach to help lead, develop, and build a competitive defense within a growing program.
Position Overview:
The Assistant Coach / Defensive Coordinator will work closely with the Head Coach to design, implement, and manage all aspects of the defensive side of the football program. This includes game planning, practice organization, player development, and fostering a positive team culture.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement defensive schemes and game plans Coach and develop student-athletes in defensive techniques and fundamentals Assist with overall program development, including offseason and summer training Break down film and analyze opponent tendencies Collaborate with coaching staff on practice planning and in-game adjustments Promote sportsmanship, discipline, and academic success among student-athletes
Qualifications:
Previous coaching experience (high school or higher preferred) Strong knowledge of defensive football strategies and fundamentals Ability to build relationships with student-athletes and staff Excellent communication and organizational skills Must meet all OHSAA coaching requirements, including: Current Pupil Activity Permit Current FBI/BCI background check
