Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a passionate, dedicated and experienced Volleyball Coach for a number of our girls and boys club teams. The ages of the teams range from 12U up to 18U, and we have head and assistant coach positions available. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in volleyball, coaching and a commitment to educating and mentoring student-athletes. This role requires effective communication skills, behavior management techniques, and the ability to create a positive learning environment that fosters teamwork and sportsmanship. Responsibilities Develop and implement practice programs that enhance the skills of players at various levels. Educate students on the fundamentals of volleyball, including techniques, strategies, and rules of the game. Conduct regular practices, drills, and team building sessions to help improve and develop skills and mental toughness. Manage team behavior during practices and games, ensuring a respectful and inclusive atmosphere. Collaborate with other coaches and staff to promote overall athletic development within the program. Organize and oversee competitions, including communicating to parents and players about schedules, etc. Provide positive and constructive feedback to players to facilitate their growth and improvement. Maintain communication with parents regarding player progress and team activities. Requirements Proven experience in sports coaching, particularly in volleyball or related sports. Experience working with students in an educational or athletic setting. Strong behavior management skills to maintain discipline during practices and games. Personal playing background is a must for head coaching positions. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
