Job Description

SWOCC is looking for an assistant soccer coach. This is a stipend position with housing and meals in our campus apartments ($10,000+ Value). Southwestern Oregon Community College (SWOCC) is seeking an energetic and dedicated Assistant Men's Soccer Coach to support the development of our collegiate soccer program. The assistant coach will work closely with the head coach to recruit and develop student-athletes, implement training sessions, and contribute to the overall success of the team. The ideal candidate will have a strong soccer background, coaching experience, and a passion for developing young athletes both on and off the field.
Key Responsibilities:
Coaching & Player Development Assist in planning and conducting team training sessions, focusing on technical, tactical, and fitness development. Work closely with the head coach to develop game strategies and scouting reports. Provide individualized coaching to improve player performance, with an emphasis on attacking play to address team needs. Assist in the development and execution of strength and conditioning programs. Recruiting & Team Building Identify and recruit student-athletes who align with the team's needs and the college's academic and athletic standards. Establish and maintain relationships with high school and club coaches to strengthen the recruiting pipeline. Help with organizing campus visits and communicating with prospective student-athletes. Game Day & Administrative Duties Assist with game-day preparations, including warm-ups, tactical adjustments, and player management. Analyze game footage and provide feedback to players and coaching staff. Support team travel logistics, including transportation, lodging, and meals. Ensure compliance with NWAC and college policies regarding student-athlete eligibility and conduct. Perform other duties as assigned.
