The successful candidate will work closely with the Head Girls Wrestling Coach to support the growth and development of the girls wrestling program while providing student-athletes with a positive, competitive, and educational experience. Duties include, but are not limited to: Assist in the instruction and development of student-athletes within the girls wrestling program. Effectively teach the fundamental skills, techniques, strategies, and rules of wrestling. Assist with planning, organizing, conducting, and evaluating practices and competitions. Help create a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment that encourages participation, growth, and competitive excellence. Support the monitoring of student-athlete academic progress and eligibility. Serve as a positive role model, mentor, and leader for student-athletes. Assist with match preparation, competition management, and team travel as needed. Help recruit and retain student-athletes while supporting the continued growth of girls wrestling at Cottage Grove High School. Build positive relationships with youth and middle school programs to strengthen the girls wrestling pipeline. Assist with fundraising efforts and other program activities. Ensure compliance with all Cottage Grove High School Athletic Department, and OSAA policies, procedures, and regulations. Support the overall mission of the CGHS Athletic Department by promoting sportsmanship, character development, academic success, and a positive team culture. Assist with athletic department events and activities as requested.
Compensation:
Compensation will be distributed through a stipend and determined based on available funding and the athletics stipend schedule.
