Our Xcel program is a vital part of that mission, blending scheduling flexibility and fun with strong fundamentals and skill progression. We're currently seeking a positive, passionate, and experienced Xcel Coach to join our team and help lead gymnasts in the Bronze through Gold divisions toward personal success and pride.
Role Overview:
As an Xcel Coach at NAAG, you'll guide gymnasts through creative, goal-oriented practices that build skills, confidence, and love for the sport. You'll be part of a supportive coaching team that values collaboration, clear communication, and long-term athlete development—while also celebrating the everyday joy of gymnastics.
Responsibilities:
Coach and develop athletes in the Xcel Bronze through Gold divisions Create lesson plans and season goals that are challenging, safe, and fun Support gymnasts through competition season: preparation, meet coaching, and encouragement Foster strong relationships with athletes and families through communication and positivity Collaborate with other NAAG coaches to ensure a consistent, well-rounded athlete experience Track progress and adjust training plans to meet individual and team needs Help maintain a safe, clean, and energetic training environment
What We're Looking For:
Prior experience coaching Xcel or team gymnastics (Bronze-Gold preferred) A deep understanding of progressions, safe spotting techniques, and athlete motivation A team player with a proactive, encouraging, and growth-minded coaching style Strong communication skills with both athletes and families A love for coaching and a desire to help each gymnast reach their full potential Why Join NAAG?
