Ability to work within school district guidelines and budget;

Ability to follow District, school, league, and OSAA policies, procedures, rules, and regulations;

Ability to collaborate effectively with the Athletic Director and other members of the school's athletic program;

Ability to appropriately supervise student-athletes during practices, competitions, travel, and other team activities;

Ability to be District van certified;

Ability and commitment to practice cultural competency and demonstrate respect for diversity.

Qualifications Desired:

Experience developing a positive program culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, character, teamwork, accountability, and academic success;

Experience coordinating with assistant coaches and providing leadership and direction for an athletic program;

Ability to promote participation in the golf program and build positive relationships with the school and broader community.

Primary Responsibilities:

The Head Golf Coach is responsible for the overall leadership and operation of the Thurston High School golf program.
