Primary Responsibilities Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, travel, and team activities Ride the team bus to and from athletic events Plan and organize practices to support individual and team development Teach Football skills, rules, techniques, and sportsmanship Communicate effectively with students, families, staff, and administration Maintain appropriate student behavior and ensure athlete safety Coordinate scheduling, facilities, equipment, transportation, and eligibility requirements with the Athletic Director Promote positive team culture and serve as a positive role model for student-athletes Monitor athlete academic eligibility and participation requirements Assist with equipment inventory, care, and program organization Participate in program events such as parent nights, awards events, and pep assemblies Follow all district, league, OSAA, and state athletic regulations and procedures Assistant coaches may be hired based on participation numbers. Qualifications Previous football coaching experience preferred High school playing experience required; college experience preferred Knowledge of football rules, strategies, and coaching techniques Ability to build positive working relationships with students, families, staff, and administration Must possess or be willing to obtain a Type 20 certification in order to drive district vehicles Must complete all required NFHS and sport-specific trainings prior to the season CPR/First Aid certification required Fingerprinting and criminal background check required Must comply with Oregon licensure requirements and district policies Compensation Seasonal stipend of $1,545 - $1,947, depending on experience Start Date September 2026 with preseason preperation as needed prior to the start of the season Apply Online https://mckenzieschool.schoolspring.com/ Application Deadline June 2, 2026, or open until filled Interview by appointment only.
