Job Description
Assistant Football Coach The Department of Athletics seeks a full-time assistant football coach. Reporting to thehead football coach, the assistant coach works 10 -months, typically August 1 through May 31, and is responsible for the instruction andsupervision of student athletes. This assistant coach serves primarily as the offensive assistant and assists the academic coordinator,while also providing individual and team instruction, skill development and techniques, and conditioning and preparation for team members.
The assistant is also responsible for the coordination of recruitment efforts for the program, quality control responsibilities from filmediting, clipping, and review. The assistant coach is expected to demonstrate leadership, sportsmanship and conduct becoming of the coachingprofession, to stay abreast of any rule changes relative to their sport, and to encourage and adhere to all rules, regulations and policiesset forth by Lebanon Valley College, the NCAA and the MAC / Freedom Conference. The successful candidate will be responsible for secondaryresponsibilities assigned by the director of athletics, and possess solid organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills, knowledge ofthe game, and have the ability to identify and attract outstanding student-athletes to the College. Qualifications include a bachelor'sdegree, successful background in coaching, preferable at the collegiate level, and collegiate playing experience.
