Job Description

Opportunity:
Propel Schools is seeking a Head Middle School Boys Basketball Coach for the 26-27 season starting this
Winter:
Propel Braddock Hills Middle School Propel East Propel Hazelwood Propel Homestead Propel McKeesport Propel Montour Middle School Propel Northside Propel Pitcairn Successful candidates will have: Prior Middle School, Varsity and/or Junior Varsity Basketball coaching experience Preferred candidates will have experience as a head coach, playing experience, as well as the demonstrated ability to build a successful program starting at the middle school level Responsibility for assembling his/her coaching staff Experience coordinating a middle school basketball program with the coaching team and/or athletic director Experience implementing off-season programs in accordance with
WPIAL/PIAA
regulations. Willingness and ability to attend all required PIAA preseason coaching meetings and mandatory coaching certification/trainings in compliance with PIAA regulations. High level of personal organization and planning Strong communication and relationship building skills Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development A commitment to the
Propel Habits Season Information:
The 2026-2027 Middle School Boys Basketball season is scheduled to begin on January 4th, 2027 and is anticipated to conclude in March, although the season may end earlier/later depending on if the team participates in postseason. This position includes a seasonal stipend of $1,750. Please note that the stipend will be prorated for coaches who begin after the official start of the season.
