The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wrestling, a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive team environment, and the ability to inspire and motivate young athletes. This seasonal position offers an opportunity to shape the future of our student-athletes both on and off the mat. Responsibilities Develop and implement a comprehensive training program that enhances the skills and performance of each athlete. Organize and conduct daily practice sessions, focusing on technique, conditioning, and strategy. Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, respect, and teamwork. Recruit and retain student-athletes, promoting the benefits of the wrestling program within the school and community. Collaborate with athletic staff, parents, and the school administration to ensure the program's success and compliance with all regulations. Plan and oversee the scheduling of competitions, transportation, and logistics for matches and tournaments. Requirements Previous experience coaching wrestling at the high school level or higher is preferred. Strong knowledge of wrestling techniques, rules, and strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with athletes, parents, and school staff. Ability to motivate and inspire athletes to achieve their personal and team goals. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing practices and competitions. A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all athletes. Must pass background checks as required by school district policies.
