Job Description
The Manheim Central School District is hiring a Head Junior High Track & Field Coach (First Assistant) beginning with the 2026-2027 school year. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall operation and success of the Junior High Track & Field program. The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of track and field coaching experience in junior high or high school. Expected to have a complete knowledge of the sport, and will need to impart that knowledge to junior high student-athletes. This candidate must also be able to demonstrate proven coaching techniques and philosophy and a willingness to work within the goals of the Manheim Central Athletic Department. This candidate will also be responsible for developing and organizing practices, planning and leading the team through a competitive season, as well as developing an off-season program. Previous junior high playing and/or coaching experience and experience working with student-athletes preferred; Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required. Post-secondary education ideal. Ability to work after school hours with very few evenings required. Must be passionate about working with students while serving as an organized role model that supports all athletics. Yearly stipend EOE
