Full Job Description Opportunity:
Propel Schools is seeking an Assistant Varsity Track Coach for the 26-27 season starting this winter: Propel Andrew Street High School Propel Braddock Hills High School Propel Montour High School Successful candidates will have: Prior Varsity or Junior Varsity coaching experience Preferred candidates will have student-athlete experience on the high school and/or intercollegiate level, prior high school coaching experience, & USATF certification Preferred candidates will have experience as a head coach or assistant coach, playing experience, as well as the demonstrated ability to build a successful program starting at the varsity level Responsibility for supporting the Varsity program with the head coach, athletic director and other coaching staff Experience implementing off-season programs in accordance with
WPIAL/PIAA
regulations. Willingness and ability to attend all required PIAA preseason coaching meetings and mandatory coaching certification/trainings in compliance with PIAA regulations. Must possess effective coaching skills and knowledge of rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of the sport High level of personal organization and planning Strong communication and relationship building skills Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development A commitment to the
Propel Habits Season Information:
The 2026-2027 Assistant Varsity Track Season is scheduled to begin in March and is anticipated to conclude in May, although the season may end earlier/later depending on if the team participates in postseason. This position includes a seasonal stipend of $2,000. Please note that the stipend will be prorated for coaches who begin after the official start of the season.
Requirements:
Up-to-date TB Test Act 34 Criminal Clearance Act 114 FBI Clearance Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance Mandated Reporter Training Experience Preferred Proven experience as a coach on the youth and/or interscholastic levels Education Preferred Associates or better
