Job Description

Position Summary:
Under the guidance of the Director of Athletics, continue to build and develop a highly competitive boys lacrosse program at a dynamic, forward-thinking prep school that competes at a high level while also embodying Perkiomen's spirit of sportsmanship, integrity, dignity, respect in competition, and excellence in the classroom. Perkiomen School Boys Lacrosse has grown tremendously over the past few seasons. The program has sent multiple students to play in college, including Yale, Syracuse, and Towson.
Job Responsibilities:
Oversee the boys lacrosse program. This includes a year-round training program for athletes with an emphasis on skill development and strength and conditioning, creating a high-level schedule, organizing camps and clinics, etc. Run an off-season training program that includes strength and conditioning, appropriate on-field training, and tournament play Recruit high-character individuals to Perkiomen School who are mission-appropriate student-athletes Assist in the placement of student-athletes to top colleges and universities that are the right fit Help facilitate travel for players, especially boarding students, to club practices and tournaments throughout the school year Assist the athletic department in developing a strong and competitively appropriate game schedule Serve the school's residential and student life program one weeknight per week and one weekend per month. Fill another important role at the school which could include teaching, student life, or administration.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree Coaching experience at the high school, college level, or professional level Experience playing the sport at collegiate, or professional level Experience teaching at the high school or college level National or regional coaching certification preferred CPR and First Aid Certified (Perkiomen offers certification course) Applicants Applicants should send a cover letter, resume, and three letters of recommendation to Carol Dougherty, Associate Head of School (cdougherty@perkiomen.org)
