Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES
: Assist the head coach in all coaching responsibilities throughout the season and off-season. Participate in all practice sessions, team meetings, and contests as warranted by the Head Coach. Represent the Athletic Department in an appropriate and professional manner at all times. Develop an appropriate and working knowledge of involved NCAA, Conference and Marywood Athletic policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions: On-deck coaching Developing student-athletes bon on- and off-the field to be successful post-graduation Recruiting skilled prospective student-athletes that match the mission of Marywood University Developing and working with a budget Strong knowledge of NCAA, Conference and Marywood University policies and procedures.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
(knowledge, skill, abilities): Strong knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and regulations Strong interpersonal skills Strong communication skills Strong collaboration with coaching staff and others through the Athletic Department and University
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Prior Coaching experience
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree 2+ Years collegiate coaching experience Recruiting experience
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
(certifications, etc.): FBI, Criminal Background and Child Abuse Clearances Van certification & MVR
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
(bending/sitting/lifting/driving/etc.): Bending Sitting for several hours (at desk, on buses, in bleachers, in car, etc.) Lifting up to 50 lbs. independently Driving for several hours (recruiting)
WORK ENVIRONMENT/TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Must be willing to work both in groups and in isolation Extensive work hours to include nights and weekends plus late evenings, early mornings and some holidays Travel is extensive between team competition and recruiting travel Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
