Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Head Coach for the JV Girls Lacrosse team to inspire young athletes, foster teamwork, and develop their skills on and off the field. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic sports program, promote sportsmanship, and cultivate a positive athletic environment. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for coaching, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to student-athlete growth. Previous experience in sports coaching, physical education instruction, or related fields is essential to succeed in this vibrant role. Duties Lead practices and games, designing engaging drills that improve lacrosse techniques and team cohesion Develop training plans that emphasize skill development, strategy, and sportsmanship Foster a positive team culture through effective behavior management and motivational coaching Communicate regularly with players, parents, and school staff to ensure alignment on team goals and progress Oversee safety protocols during practices and games, including AED operation and emergency response readiness Monitor student-athletes' academic performance and overall well-being, providing guidance as needed Coordinate with assistant coaches and support staff to ensure smooth team operations and event preparations Experience Prior coaching experience in lacrosse or other team sports such as basketball, cheerleading, or martial arts like Judo or Karate Background in sports-specific training instruction and physical education teaching methods Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds, demonstrating strong communication skills Knowledge of behavior management strategies to promote discipline and teamwork on the field Familiarity with health club environments or gym experience is a plus Certifications in CPR/AED operation are preferred; Lifeguard experience or swimming background is advantageous but not required Additional experience in childcare, teaching physical education, climbing activities, or martial arts enhances suitability for this role Join us as we build a spirited lacrosse program that champions athletic excellence, personal growth, and lifelong teamwork!
Pay:
$2,500.00 - $4,800.00 per year
