Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis. Job Summary The Swim Coach is responsible for leading and developing the high school swim program in a manner consistent with the mission, values, and teachings of the Catholic Church. The coach serves as a positive role model for student-athletes, promoting athletic excellence, sportsmanship, teamwork, personal growth, and Christian values both in and out of competition. Job Responsibilities Plan, organize, and supervise all aspects of the swim program, including practices, meets, and team activities. Teach and develop proper swimming techniques, conditioning, race strategies, and water safety skills. Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes faith, respect, discipline, integrity, and sportsmanship. Encourage the academic, spiritual, and personal development of student-athletes. Monitor athlete performance and provide constructive feedback to support improvement. Coordinate team schedules, meet entries, travel arrangements, and communication with athletes and parents. Ensure compliance with school policies, athletic department procedures, and league regulations. Maintain accurate records, equipment inventory, and program documentation. Supervise student-athletes during practices, competitions, and team events. Collaborate with school administration, faculty, parents, and athletic staff to support student success. Promote the swim program through recruitment and retention of student-athletes. Serve as a visible witness to Catholic values and support the mission of the school. Job Requirements ommitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education. Previous coaching, competitive swimming, or related experience preferred. Knowledge of swim training techniques, stroke development, conditioning, and competition rules. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to mentor and motivate high school student-athletes. Current CPR, First Aid, and water safety certifications preferred or required.
