Job Description:
Job Purpose:
The Head Men's and Women's Golf Coach is expected to coach golf teams which includes all practices and games. As well as organize and direct a training program to develop the team's potential and take a leadership role in recruiting, promotions, teaching, motivation and competition. Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions): Supervise all golf practices and provide coaching to players. Prepare and maintain golf budgets. Work with Athletic Director on travel details and scheduling. Coordinate recruitment of players for golf Report all athlete injuries to the Athletic Trainer as needed. Follow all NCAA and GSC rules and regulations Additional Duties and Responsibilities (Non-Essential Functions): Work with Sports Information Director and Public Relations Director with regard to news releases, brochures, and team pictures. Maintain golf athlete records. Recommend athletes for awards. Manage issuance and inventory of equipment Provide strong leadership Maintain honorable and upstanding conduct of athletes on athletic trips. Other similar activities as assigned.
Requirements:
Undergraduate degree required. Several years of progressively responsible coaching experience. Well organized, self-motivated and excellent communication and computer skills. Physical skills and abilities to demonstrate and communicate appropriate techniques and skills
